I love the composition of the interaction of the giraffes, Stephen!

I am somewhat distracted from the focus of the giraffes by the busy background. Had you given any thought to making it more simple or subdued? I would love to see a photo like that to be able to really zero in on the giraffes and the design of the artwork they are already wearing. Let me know if you produce another version. I would love to see it!

I love the short title longer title! LOL boy does that really say what this image says!! Doesn't matter if Michaels sells a giraffe pic that just means yours is good too. I do think the background might be a tad distracting as

This is a nice image. I would agree the background is distracting. I would also believe this background was added after the fact considering the direction and color temperature of the light on the giraffes is significantly different from what a sunset/sunrise would provide. The mood of the image is great though. The expression on the face of the calf does capture the imagination. Arguably the color temperature variation makes you stop and take a look. This could be a good thing.

Ohmygoodness! I am totally in awe of this photo! I'm glad it won Photo of the Day. And finalist. But I have to say that this photo not winning first or Grand Prize takes a bit of credibility away from the judging in my opnion. It's going straight to my favorites so I can come see it often :)
