    Hi Brenda,
Wow, what a beautiful scene! In fact, this is an excellent choice for the "Where in the World?" quiz for the August issue of BetterPhoto's free PhotoFlash newsletter.
Kerry

Note to Everyone: Have fun guessing where this fine photo was taken. Brenda and I will check back over the coming days to see how things are going. Meantime, keep the guesses coming!

Thanks,
Kerry Drager

Wow, what an amazing location!
I'm going to go by the fog and the greenery and guess somewhere in Ireland.

I think Alexsandra is right - it's in Ireland and it's the Cliffs of Mohr, my daughter was there in January, there's a lot more green now!

Hi Brenda,
I am new to this site and have just joined. This is a beautiful photograph. I am biased and will say that it's somewhere in Newfoundland. The East Coast is beautiful and I have been there recently (two weeks ago) I shall be trying to upload some photos soon to share.

Since I have never been overseas I cannot guess anythhing over there. We do have some pretty dramatic cliffs on our Northern California Coasts, perhaps somewhere in Mendocino County along Highway 1. Wild guess.

Very nice photo...my choice (before I read these comments) would be one of the Canadian Atlantic provinces like on the shores of Newfoundland!

I think that looks like an area of the "Gaspe' Peninsula" in Canada!

The rugged coast line looks a lot like the eastern Atlantic coast of Barbados near Rugged Point. I live in Barbados so that was my first thought. However, the lilac coloured plants along the edge make me think it is Ireland/Scotland. Great shot nevertheless.

Hi Brenda,
Beautiful shot of the Cliffs of Mohr in Co. Clare, Ireland.
I was just there at the end of April this year, but there were no beautiful flowers there for my pix. When were you there?

Hi Brenda --
That's a beautiful shot. I'll bet it's the western coast of Ireland. Others are saying it's the Cliffs of Mohr, but I haven't seen those myself. My other guess would be the cliffs along the Slea Head Drive on the Dingle Peninsula.

The shot is really beautiful and I also believe it was taken in Ireland. It looks just like a shot my nephew took while he & his wife were on there honeymoon. He also took some awesome pictures of old castles as well.

What a beautiful shot! I think it's the Cornish coast in England.

I agree that it was shot in California north of San Francisco south of Point Reyes National Park. It is beautiful
no matter where it was shot!!!!

I think it is Achille Island in Ireland. The Cliffs are much higher. Although it could be the Cliffs of Moher....but I think Achille Island, Ireland.

I think it's somewhere along the coast of Half Moon Bay, CA... and my 2nd guess would be along the coast of Hwy 1 as Michelle R. mentioned above.

It look like the west coast of California or Oregon. Having never been there this is just a wild guess.

I guess Ireland or Scotland. It looks tall, but still not tall enough to me to be the Cliffs of Mohr though. I was in Ireland in April and there are several areas with similar landscapes to this photo. It was so beautiful!

Hi Brenda,

My first thought was that the shot was off of Oregon coast. I haven't seen the other locations mentioned such as Ireland and CA off of hwy 1. It makes me wonder if it wasn't archipelago island. Just a wild guesses. It is lovely and wild, dangerous to come to the edge. Thanks for sharing!

Scrolling down really fast so I don't see the other answers. My guess would be the Napali Coast in Hawaii on the island of Kauai.

Hi Brenda! I'm gonna guess northern California also. It reminds me of Ft. Bragg area or more northern. But then alot of people seem to think other places and it could well be!

and the answer is......Western Ireland!!! Good try, everyone - Many of you got the country right, and Erica V. got very, very close with Achill Island. It could have been there, the terrain is the same, but this was on Clare Island, off that same coast. Our driver/guide has a small cottage on the island and we've taken the boat ride over to photograph when the flowers are blooming.

I was drawn to the drama of the cliffs, and the clouds that day were wonderful how they hung at the top of the cliffs. Thanks for playing the 'game'!
