Very cool. I really like this! What film did you use? Was this done in natural light? By the way... is America your real name, very cool!

Thanks Stephanie! I appreciate your taking time to look at my photo. This was taken with a digital camera in B&W in natural light, I then used Photoshop to color the eye. And yes, America is my real name, I was a bicentennial baby and my parents were in the spirit I guess you could say. Thanks again.

This is late because I was out of the country for a while. But you said you photoshopped the eye, and I was wondering what method you used, because it looks incredibly realistic. It's hard to color in things like eyes, that have multiple colors and specific designs interlaced. I have not yet figured this out, except using the adjust color and hue/saturation. You magic wanded/lassoed perfectly around the eye- you just can't tell. What did you do? Devi

Thank you for your comments. I have found, for myself, that the key is to supersize the object you are working with. Like with this particular picture I enlarged the eyeball so it filled my monitor, something like 300%. I then airbrushed several layers of different colors, setting their transparecy level very high. I hope that helps. Remember...practice makes perfect!!

I love this photograph. What version of Photoshop did you use? I'm new at Photoshop and need to take course. What too did you use to select the colored portion of the eye? The lasso? Thanks in advance. It's captivating!!!
