Steve, I love your art. Take a look at my recent entry. Would love to see you there. I'm going to Mineral Springs (Sequoia) on Monday and hope I can get something like this.

What a brilliant capture, Steve! I would love to be able to visit country like this, but unfortunately Australia is lacking in both mountains and water.

Hey Steve! Congrats on a well deserved POTD! Where did you shoot this? It's gorgeous! Especially on a HOT day in the Mojave :-) I met William Clair over the weekend and we went to a hot springs right outside of Bridgeport with Pat Gamwell....I also couldn't find his photo, I think he may have forgotten to ck the box to display it...

Thank you everyone. The focal length was 18mm on a D70 with the kit lens 18-70mm. f16 or f22 at somewhere around a second. Everyones camere will very in exposure time depending on the lens used and iso speed. The peak has no name. The unnamed peak are assigned a number. I don't carry maps when I hike into the Sierra unless I'm responible for bringing someone back and I don't always return the same way I came. I run into a lot of Pacific Crest Trail hikers up there with maps. You could call it lost but what do you call someone standing in a lake full of ice?
