First Drops


	First Drops EF 100mm Macro, f/5.6, 1/200th Second, ISO100, -2/3ev, remote + mirror lockup, RAW. These small flowers were the edging along a patio. The skies kept threatening rain with little bursts of sprinkles off and on. The result was wonderful little droplets on the petals, everywhere I looked! (Shot with Canon 400XTi/Rebel, not Sony DSCH1, as I mistakenly indicated at upload) 06/07 Finalist; Flowers Chris Budny

Another wonderful shot. I love the sharpness of the water drop, but I, personally, would have liked the center of the flower to be a little sharper. I suspect, however, I am in the minority. In any event, it is still a beautiful shot.

If you start shooting flowers like you do the Cathedral, we are all in trouble.

Thank you very much, Don! I have another shot of these flowers (no droplet) where the center is the focus. But I don't know that I have any with the whole flower in focus, given the super shallow DOF of that lens! An excuse to go back!
