Nice picture. What type of equipment was used and what settings?

Hi Mark,

I used a Canon EOS Elan with a 100-300 zoom lens. I have since misplaced my notes with the shutter speed and aperture. I used a Bogen tripod and shot in the image while waiting for the ferry in Port Angeles, WA.

I think I remember shooting a whole roll of 36 on this scene. I have included a super wide-angle image that show the cloud-speckled sky. I also shot photos that incorporate other nearby boats in the harbor. This one, however, was my favorite of the bunch. It pays to keep things simple.

Jim, both of your sailboat and sunrise pictures are awesome. I could just look at them forever. Very calming. Beautiful capture of color and detail in the sky, and great composition.

I like this photo, it is as an ancient history of love always repeated, the sun-set shows the romance, and boat is the hope of the lovers, the sun is the hope for which one always looks, which one see, but we know that we can never reach it, but one shall always look for it...
