Thanks everybody. So far it's still raining and freezing as soon as it sticks to something. The bushes are about 1/2 inch ice on top of the branches. It's gonna be a lulu, I think! Lucky for us most of the trees don't have a lot of branches left to fall off after the last one we had 6 years ago. We were without power that time for 2 weeks. A tree fell on our power line and ripped it off the house, so it wasn't just a matter of them getting the electricity back on, they had to re- attach it first. Hope we fare better this time!

We have propane for heat, so we won't freeze regardless. And we can heat up soup on the propane stove, so we probably won't starve either. Not that I couldn't stand to lose a little weight.
