I think the black is perfect. Had a "sunset" looking background been used it "may" have offered a different feel, but that is not this image. Well Done!!

I love the black background too Amalia! I think it really makes the detail of the milkweed seeds to pop out. I think it is the perfect color for this photo. Great detail and composition on this one! Congrats and good luck in the next round :-)
