Due to a cyclone in Queensland where most of our bananas are grown the price of this humble fruit in Australia has gone through the roof. About $13 Australian per Kilogram!! So bananas aren't bought by many people at the moment. The reason why I say this is because to us Aussies these are like GOLD!! So you have an absolutely superb capture and have made my mouth water as I haven't had a banana for such a long time.

Amazing clarity, clear colors nad texture, Susana! We have lots of those over here! It is one of the main products in this country and they are very cheap. They are sold by the unit, not by weight, and they cost about 5 cents of a dollar each.

WONDERFUL design elements here, Suzy...and I L-O-V-E the colours, lighting, soft focus, AND composition!! :o) Like the other Aussies ahead of me have mentioned, we are just waiting for the price of bananas to come down to ANYWHERE near what they used to be!! :i( ;o) When Category 5 cyclone Larry devastated the Innisfail area of the Queensland coast of Australia, back on 20th March this year, the huge banana plantations were almost totally flattened... According to Wikipedia, "Cyclone Larry is considered to be the worst cyclone to hit the coast of Queensland since 1931." Also, it further quotes, "Innisfail suffered the most damage, being the town where Larry made landfall... The region's banana industry, which employs up to 6000 people, has also suffered extreme losses of crops. These losses account for more than 80% of the total banana crop for Australia."!! :o( Refer to the following page for more information on Cyclone Larry:
