Hi Sherry. This is one of the most effective uses of the Orton Technique I've seen. How did you get this edge effect?

Thank you, Steve, for the compliments.This edge was purely experimental. This image was originally a slide. When I scan, my scanner, a Minolta Dimage, scans the slides with a black border around it. I then used the magic wand at a low tolerance and selected the border. I then deleted the part it had selected. It only selected part of the border and left what you see. I have tried it again and the results are always different. It is quite different and unpredictable.
