It was pure luck. I was shooting early morning water reflections on the dock when I heard some noise behind my back. I turned around and here he was 10 feet away. I just kept on shooting until I realized that I am on manual exposure for water and badly underexposed about a dozen shots of him. I quickly changed to AP and made just this one shot before he disappeared.

Thanks, but I cannot even take credit for it: it was pure luck. I was shooting early morning water reflections off the dock when I heard some sounds behind my back. I turned around and here he was 10 feet away. All I had to do is keep shooting. The exposure was manual and I badly underexposed about a dozen shots of him. Then I noticed it and quickly changed to AP. This is the only one that came out. Then he run away.

  Hi Michael!
Great shot of this beautiful fox! Isn't is amazing what kind of shot you can get, when you're in the right place at the right time.
Best of luck in the next round!

Sibylle

  Sibylle,
Frankly I was never so close to a wild animal in my life and with camera ready at that. When I was looking later at all those underexposed shots I was ready to cry, but the last one was just right.
Thanks for your compliments
