Peter, very interesting effects. Which effects did you create with PS and which ones with the camera? I wonder if having this dud walking OUT of the frame (closer to the left) would add even more interesting tension. I really like this.

Thanks piper. This is straight from the camera. It's a pan action shot. I used Photoshop to adjust color balance and contrast. It recently won honorable mention in the 2002 Orlando Weekly Photo Contest. Thanks for viewing and commenting.

Just wanted to add that I'm totally jealous of your panning skills! I suck at panning, but then I don't practice this effect enough. I'm inspired by your shot to get back out there and practice!

I too love your panning skill, such a real/abstract view of things happen in front of us all the time...and you certainly made the most of it....bravo!

Thanks. This was one of many shots that I took while practicing pan action shots in the airport while waiting in the concourse. I have a ton that didn't turned out that great so I am still practicing as much as I can.

Very inspiring indeed! I never thought of trying to pan with people just moving vehicles. Hmmm..Wonderful use of the camera and technique! I like this one alot!

Super shot, Peter. Creates a strong mood. With the white featureless background we don't know where he is going, but the feeling of movement is so strong, that we know he is definately on his way! Congratulations! + Guy

Interesting image, Peter. Like a good short story, it lets one fill in the details of the moment, so that the art is in the eye of the viewer.
