As a rule, I don't do effects in my images. This was taken with a D200 and a Sigma 30mm f/1.4 lens set at f/1.8. I had a white backdrop and a very large window with indirect light. The camera was set at ISO 400 and I just walked around with the kid in the room while the parents acted crazy to get the kids attention. They held a toy higher and higher till he had to climb the chair to reach it and I was just ready for the moment.
