This is great! I would love to try it. Could you please share your method? What was your set up (background and lighting)? How did you put the collage together?

Thanks,

  Hi Denise,

Thanks for commenting!

My set up was the following:

• White seamless paper as background.
• I had two strobes with medium size umbrellas lighting the backdrop - I could not get the light even with just one light.
• Main light (also a strobe) with a brolly box (a poor man’s soft box) on subject.
•Lighting ratio was 1:2. My subject was metering about f5.6, and the drop at about f8.

For the collage I did the following:

• Opened up a new file with white background in Photoshop 7.0
• Dropped each image (already converted to sepia tone) onto that new file
• Tried to get my subject in each file at approximately the same size
• Used the eraser tool to erase the background on each image as necessary to get the images leveled right next to each other.

I hope this is specific enough. Please don’t hesitate to ask for clarifications!

Thanks,
~ Petra
