BLOCKS BOX

BetterPhoto.com Photo Contest Finalist    BLOCKS BOX
BLOCKS BOX
Waaay before digital, when printers used to set type by hand, they used blocks of wood (called furniture) to separate and space the pieces of type when assembled in a chase (frame)which was then locked into a letter-press for printing.
These "furniture" pieces of different sizes were kept in compartments in a "furniture cabinet".
This image, 1/60th @ f-14, is of the furniture as it sits in its cabinet. After cropping, I applied PS poster edges, and adjusted the color saturation. For the final symmetrical pattern, I applied "Quadrant Flip" found in Harry's filters.
