btw, in case anyone is wondering how I got this much magnification with a 60mm... this is not a regular sized needle :) ... It's a 10 inch long upholstery needle with heavyweight craft thread... I had intended to describe the setup when I posted earlier today but was in a rush and forgot... Thanks again for all the comments!
