What a great shot. Now, if you could explain about how far away you were it would be great. Macro used to be so simple to me but now days there are close-up filters, micro?, extension tubes etc. With this lens do you have to still be at least a ft. from subject? Thanks!!!!!!

The ladybird was about 20cm from the tip of my lens. So it is a third less than a foot. But the insect don't fear from the camera, they only fear from the rapid movement.
