Thanks, Michelle! Yeah, I continued to play with it until I got it right. I just printed it out and WOW! The colors are much more brilliant than what's on the screen.

Very cool, Jay, congratulations for being chosen for digital darkroom! I wish I know how to use masks. That's something I have not yet learned. It looks very cool! And well-done. Mary :-)

Hi Mary, thanks for the critigue. I used the heart pattern in the shape tool. I didn't know how to use it either until I started playing with it...all trial and error.

Congratulations! Jay this is so awesome! And to think you weren't even going to enter this into the contest & 2 days later the judges take notice & you are a featured photographer in the Newsletter! What a wonderful honor!
I'm very proud of my pupil! :)
Have a wonderful day!

I know how to make the heart--but how do you make it into a mask? I guess I can play with it and see if I can figure it out. You did a great job with this and I see your other photos are also very outstanding! Mary :-D

Mary, I hope the instructions I sent you work for ya! As you can see there was a bit of work involved but the results are well worth it. I did forget to mention one more tool. If you notice the top part of the Apple (stem) and how it's pulled down. In Photoshop under the filters menu I used the Warp Tool under liquify to achieve this effect. I needed this effect to make the heart shape a bit more appealing. Tks Again!
