Antelope pin spot

  Antelope pin spot
Antelope pin spot
Photographed at Upper Antelope Canyon in April, 2005 with a Nikon D100 on tripod and Nikkor 18-35mm lens, settings unknown. Image processed with Levels and Unsharp Mask in Photoshop CS. No matter how often its photographed, the narrow beams of sun that reach the bottom of Upper Antelope Canyon at midday never fail to impress.

Thanks everyone for your kind remarks. The 'laser beam' image is achieved with some old fashion work. Before the photographers would shoot, our Navajo guide would toss large handfuls of sand into the air, creating the airborne dust that makes the beam visible.
