Great Court
Taken from the second level of the British Museum, looking out towards the reading room of the Great Court. The room is breath-taking and I wanted to capture some of the space and light provided by the dramatic ceiling.

Shot with a fantastically small Pentax Optio S4 which constantly amazes me with the great results. Image is a digital composite of 4 vertical frames, panning from left to right.

The stitching was done using PTGui & Panotools.

How fortunate you are to have visited this place. I hope that you captured some close-up details too.
I would have shot 500 pictures in less than a day going from spot to spot capturing details and wide shots like this. I love it... Great shot; Gordon!!

I certainly took a lot of other shots, focusing in on details around the room. Spent a fun hour before the museum proper opened.
