Thanks Kay, did you by chance notice the what the bird left behind? I thought of removing these "complex colours" but figured what the heck, its the way I found it. Kidding aside, I waited and waited for the right light, it was coming in from the right and shinning through a forest so it created some pretty neat patterns on the rock and weeds. I am finding more and more that this photography game is all about paitence.
