I bet you set your camera up on a tripod with the head screw loose, set the timer and spin it around a couple-two-three times, and just let it go off. My impression of Alaska is that great sights are everywhere. This is sure no exception. Excellent work, as always, Gary.

You guys are all great! I thank you kindly for your generous comments! Bernard; I wish it was that easy! I had to slog through the tideflat mud to get the right angle on this one though. Took me a half hour to clean my boots when I got home. Alaska definitely has enough opportunities to last a lifetime though. Keep in mind that most of my photos are taken within 30 miles of Valdez. Only a tiny little speck of Alaska! On the other hand, the bulk of the state is only accessible by small plane or boat.

Wonderful view! Beautiful soft sunset light on the peaks, nice soft tones. Very good how you captured the entire mountainpeaks reflected in the water! Great composition! (I also like your gull-pictures very much!)

Thank you very much, Christel! I appreciate your visiting my gallery! I'm glad you enjoyed the gulls. They were pretty much a learning exercise in panning and action shots. After a couple days of gull shooting I feel much more capable of grabbing those sudden fast moving photos that I've always missed :-)
