Wild Short-earred Owl
Sandusky Bay Region, OHThis bird was mantling a chipmunk or vole, early in the morning. I was on my belly with my tripod flat to the ground, it took a while but I was able to approach to within 30-40 ft. Used: 600mm F/5.6 (300mm F/2.8 + 2x converter) Fujichrome Provia 100F
