This shot is pretty cool! I really like the background! The clarity and sharpness of your MP3 shot is awesome!

I like the arrangement very much. I'm not willing to run thru the Gestalt again to figure out why, tho ;) But something about the two ear buds placed just so is very good.

The only thing I could suggest would be to crop the left and top ever so slightly to apply the gestalt theory of closure to the player. You don't really need the crop in order to create a path into the picture because ear buds do that at top and side ... which I guess is one reason I like them just so ... it gives the illusion of them being wrapped around the background. The only purpose the crop would serve is to take the viewer into the picture faster ... thus more intimate ... less "personal space" yadda yadda.

I am very interested in seeing what the 4x5 will do with the red shadow and the little bitty tear in the foil (down near the bottom right corner of the player) With just a little softening of the edges, the tear wouldn't even be noticible in this picture.

You've got amazing clarity especially considering the reflective challenge you've set up for yourself. It should be perfect for the 4x5 ... you know in my humble opinion from what little i've seen of the 4x5 in your one excellent Industrial still life.

So ... how did the 4x5 come out?

have fun,
pam

I think the background is too busy and distracting.
