Hi there Evy... Thanks very much for your great compliment on my 'Pigeon Pair'! It really WAS the only shot I had time to get - on full 10x optical zoom... I thought to set for digital zoom and try again, but when I looked up one pigeon/dove had flown off, and the other followed shortly afterwards!! I had no idea what the background would be like, as I just walked out the door of our place, saw them there, and took aim as quickly as I could! I was just hoping that my Olympus would focus on them in time before they flew off! You CAN be 'lucky' sometimes can't you, as the background was as it is in my photo too - I did'nt have to add it in afterwards! When I downloaded the shot I couldn't believe my good fortune! Great shot! I love the composition and the iridescent colors on some of the pigeon feathers. The background works wonderfully too. Really a great photo!
