Larissa, I used a 100mm macro lens with a polarizing filter on this shot, ISO 100, aperture 22, shutter speed 0.3, on a tripod. I moved the camera slightly back and forth when I took the shot. In Photoshop CS, I increased the contrast slightly and added the VP preset filter, toned down a little, to bring out the yellow in the flowers. That's it!

i was just curious about your process in shooting this image. i've tried (unsuccessfully I might add) to achieve this "look". hopefully you don't mind answering a few questions! did you use a long shutter speed? was the camera shake just a tap or an actual shake? one last question...how many exposures did it take you to get this amazing image? thanks in advance!

Katie, my settings were aperture 22, shutter speed 1/30, ISO 100, using my 100mm macro lens with a polarizer to cut down on some of the sun's glare. The camera was on a tripod, so I just nudged it very gently, took about half a dozen exposures and kept the two best.
