Thank you so much everyone. I am glad everyone can see the action since I can't pan with my camera! LOL The hood flying in the air helped. Otherwise, with this being a stop action shot, he would have appeared just sitting there! LOL This was his first day of sledding, the day before Christmas. We used our backyard as a practice run. The next day after the festivities, we went to a local park with large hills. My son not only braved the large hills, but by the end of our time there, he was jumping a wooden ramp someone had made! And before he turned 4! Yes, Mom had a run also on the hill. And no, there are no shots of that, just video. : ) Hey Carolyn, we are going to be your way in March, going to Robbers Cave. If you have been, let me know any tips.

Why March? You'd be better off to wait til April if you can. I go a lot down there. If you want to shoot the rock climbers, go on a weekend, anytime for just scenery. If you're going on the trails watch for poison ivy!! I got it last year. You should also try to get to the Azalea Festival in Muskogee, also in April. Let me know when you're going and I'll drive down and meet you, if you want. It's pretty close to me.

Thanks Murry and Joy! His expression is what does it for me on this, pure child's joy at heart. And as a parent, seeing their expression when experiencing something new is priceless! Carolyn, I know what you mean, March is probably too soon. But my son is off for Spring Break then. We are going March 15th-18th. I have never been to that area and am hoping that the 4 lakes around there are nice. Glorified ponds, O.K. Not for swimming of course, just photos. We have explored the southwest part of Oklahoma for the past year and now we are moving east before going north. Originally we tried for Broken Bow, but it's pretty much booked. I can't wait to visit Pete's Place in Krebs again on the way there. Went there as a child, glad to know it's still there. We are also going to go out of our way on the way back taking the Talimena Drive. I would love for you to come down so I can have a shooting buddy. If your schedule is looking good around that time, let me know. : )

I HAVE no schedule, so am free anytime. I'm going to Pete's Place tonight! It's still there and still good. Love the Broken Bow area and that whole drive from there to Heavener. Do it every fall. I doubt there will be very good shooting in March, but who knows!
