Hi Lori, thank you for asking, I own a small point & shoot Nikon E4300. I can shoot a close up with this at about l l/2*. During a cold spell I noticed our garage window was starting to freeze up, so I took my camera and photographed around where the frost was starting. Last Summer my Granddaughter (11) put a check mark on the window with her finger, and this is where you see the frost changing into what I photographed. Thank you for asking, hope this helps, ask anytime and I will reply for anything I shoot

Hi Lori, want to apologize for not answering sooner, I missed it. My Granddaughter made the check mark with her finger and must have left her oil off her finger on the window pane and it dried up, now when the frost came in it stuck to part. you can see how much frost on the right side and not much on the left. When the frost came on the window, it followed the line of check mark. All I did thenn was put my camera into macro, l l/2" from the window pane and took the picture. I took several but this was the best. Hope this answers your questions, if it does not email me at skwas@shaw.ca and we can detail more.

Hi Stephen, thank you so much. It was a fun day shooting this, it was cold in the garage, but what the heck it was photography I had fresh battery in the camera and just kept shooting till I downloaded it on the comptr and made minor adjustments, like, light and contrast
