Pink Guitar   Featured in Digital Darkroom #022

I cropped this shot of my friend Steven. I also added filmgrain and cartoon effect, and then changed the color hue. I thought the final image looked pretty cool. Any comments appreciated! Thanks for looking! :)

I have to agree, Amanda, this is way cool! Your use of filters really animates this image! I bet he could get a job as lead guitarist for "Josey and the Pussycats" :-)

Thanks Joannie!!! His guitar is actually red, but I changed the color hue to make it pink. I'll attach the original pic, so you can compare. Again, thanks for checking out my pic!!! :)

Amanda, I liked this picture very much. What filters do you use to achieve a " cartoon " effect?

Hey everyone!!! Thank you SOOO much for all your sweet comments Kathleen, Cathy, and Mary! Sorry it took so long for me to respond, I've been having some trouble hooking up to the internet at my house.
For Mary, the "Cartoon Effect" is what that particular effect is called. My mom bought a kodak digital camera, and it came with some software. In this software, there were about 5 effects, so I combine them with some I have in another program. I'll include a before and after pic using this effect so you can see what it does. Then maybe you can find a similar one to use. Basically, it just outlines the edges of your subject, and brightens the colors to make it look more like a cartoon. Again, thanks for your comments! :)

Just wanted to say your photo is great. I don't see cartoon effect in my photoshop elements so I'm jealous! The photo is really nice!!
