I love how the colorful church is nestled in at the bottom of these lofty pines and the impending storm! The steeple nicely lifts the eye upwards in this vertical composition.

Wow! I absolutely love this, Carol! Love how the motion of the snow leads the eye directly to the chapel in your unusual composition, your capture and the sense of scale! ... I'd bet we'll see this one again!

I was struck by the sense of scale, too, when I composed this, as well as the tall pointed spire of the church being mirrored in the surrounding evergreens. I love the way you composed this, Carol! I've usually got enough real snow to not need the filter, but I'm curious. Does this filter come with PSE2 or is it a plug-in?

Carol, this is a good image, but I can't help thinking it was probably more compelling before the addition of the snow effect. The sense of scale, the offset composition, and the beautiful contrasting colors get somewhat overtaken by the snow, and to me, those are the more interesting elements of the photo.
