  Julie, I'm browsing your gallery and I have a question. This shot is beautiful as are all of your work, but what filter or effect do you use to get that faded washed out effect. Not the sepia color, but the effect that makes this look really old and worn & beautiful?

I think what you are talking about is the pattern overlay. What I did was...once the image was opened, I double clicked on the layer thumbnail, selected pattern overlay, selected the pattern I wanted to use, changed the blend mode to overlay and then adjusted the opacity and scale to where I wanted it. I use this a lot just to add a little texture. I hope this helps. If you have any questions, feel free to send me a note!!!
