NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS?

Twas the night before New Years
Only hours till the midnight chimes
You're thinking, only one little last picture
To beat the Better photo.com deadline

After all it would be kind of cool
To submit the last shot of the year
Flash or long exposure
Maybe some special effects with a mirror

While everyone polishes up on appearances
And the most popular fashions to wear
We're polishing up all our lenses
And charging the batteries with care

They'll be Champagne and Fireworks
Resolutions by the score
We'll be on top of some ladder
Light compensation minus four

Friends keep on calling
saying "We know that you're there
Put away that damned camera
And come up for some air!"

You make a silent promise to be there
Just a few minutes late
Opportunity never knocks twice
Unless sacrifices are made

Combing the city
You keep an open mind
While dozens of generic limos
Leave you behind

Maybe it's that I'm older
I'm starting to beleive
That I'm dating my digital camera
Alone on New Years Eve

Maybe the internet
Is not such a good thing
It's not like winning the lotto
Or receiving an engagement ring

But still your mind tells you
You see your name printed so clear
The final photo Contest winner is....
Due to a major website overload and malfunction
the Server has crashed and all data unfortunately
was corrupted before it even reached our offices
We apologize for the inconvenience and hope that
our website will be repaired and up and running in
time to allow entries to qualify for the February
Photo Contest. We hope to be back on line
as soon as time allows.
