Just a little creation in appreciation of the old geezer Dale who puts so much time and effort in thinking up themes and challenges for us all to enjoy.
Very late I know for his 'smells and odours' but I wanted something a little different. I do have an image of my brother-in-law shovelling horse "stuff" from their stables but thought I would be a tad more arty and this work was inspired by memories of silly poems for my kids read at bedtime so many years ago.

A very good choice and preferable to your other option. :o)

And you've reminded me that I have yet to put up a sample for this months challenge. I have an old one but prefer to do something new. Have an idea in mind that I will be doing this Saturday.

  Love it, Peter!

Don't poo-poo on us horse owners. We's rather clean the barn than do anything else!

And when I slice a shallot or two,
My nose runs, and I go boo hoo hoo...

How was that?

Thank you kind friends! And very nice Elaine, are we multi-talented or what!
When I first emigrated here from the UK I couldn't understand what they were talking about on TV cooking programs when they talked about shalots and pronounced it like "shall-uts" as it sounded so different from our Brit pronunciation of "shah-lots" with the emphasis on the last syllable.
Unusually for me I did spend a bit of time constructing this composite image. I shot the Vidalia first and then played around with various Topaz filters until I felt that it was very similar to the printed drawings in the children's books of the early 1900s. The two yellow ones were then shot and although not quite what I was trying to achieve did come close to having a somewhat unattractive look befitting their inferior status!
Both images were then superimposed on the background and on another layer I composed my piece of faux-Shakespeare.
All a bunch of fun, then I got down to real guys work, fired up my chain-saw and felled some trees in our yard :0)

Great job Peter! I love the poem on it!
Be careful with the chain saw and trees. I split wood with the wood splitter and stacked wood all day yesterday!
