The Angel of Prayer's Full Glory
Trinity Episcopal Church, Oshkosh, WisconsinThis large (approx. 12 ft diameter) circular window was designed by the Tiffany Glass and Decorating Company in 1892. The original cost of the window was $1,000. A complete restoration of the window was performed in 2006 at a cost of $100,000.
This image is a digital "stitch" composite of 52 images at close proximity (about 5 ft), ea at 22mm. The close quarters in the choir loft make any other type of capture difficult. In addition to the stitch, some lens correction and adjustments for distortion in PS (some distortion remains - I guess even angels can't be perfect). The background is an expanded and lower opacity layer of the base image. The ability to get close to this window is a breathtaking experience. F/13.0, 0.5s, ISO-100,Canon EF-S 10-22 mm lens at 22mm
