Thanks, Robert. The next morning, during a slight rain, you would have enjoyed the surfing near Morro Rock. A bit different than what you normally film, but very picturesque.

As Teresa says, it is the simplicity of the subject and colors that really do make this such a super image Dale.

Gorgeous Dale! I love the slight mist in the distance and the beautiful blues, but most of all the serenity of this one!

Thank you Beth. The fog had just lifted and the morning light of the sun was not yet visible from when I took this.

Beautiful! A quick technical question-I know you would never have a horizon sloping to one side, but it looks like it is going down to the right. What optical illusion am I seeing?

Love everything about this-how did you get it so blue? Was it like that when you took the picture?

Thank you,Elaine, and good questions. The reflections will show you it is straight but there is a sand bar behind it and to the right that runs at an angle from upper left to lower right, giving an illusion of a horizon.

As far as the deep blue, that was artistic license created by multiply blend and a warming filter applied to the boat.

Here is a the original straight out of camera. I think its a good shot in it's own right, but wanted something more dramatic.
