Wow, thank you so much everyone, first; Diane; Rob, Colette, Colleen, and Kristen, from 2 other pages (How'd they do that, eh…) and second: Marcie, Donna, Bonnie, Paul, Jill {'babe', eh…}, Michael, and Carolyn. The concept and design took me about a year to formulate, and the actual work took about 10 hours over two days, this week. What I learned from my 2 courses here at BP is experiment and persevere. Michael, it has a layer for the cloud bg so, yes, it does come in colors but the workings are "french-canadian, eh…" Carolyn, anyone can 'layer' and like riding a bike, you never forget how. Wow Allan! I'm speechless! This is incredible and so very creative! I love the position of each swan body that you chose for the corresponding numbers. And love the middle swan for the clock hands too! This is just wonderful and I'm so intimidated because I don't know the first thing about layers, but you've inspired me to try to learn! -K

I'll admit I cheated a touch with the clock 'hands' which is one of my photographs but is a 'seagull' soaring, on a 'layer' behind the centre swan. Don't let 'layers' intimidate you they're relatively easy once you get the hang of it. If you need any help, don't hesitate to ask, anytime. Well you've really thrown down the gauntlet this time Allan! It'll take a bit to think up something as good as this ~ but then you've been mulling it over for a year so you'll have to give us all a little time to catch up! Anyway, brilliant work.. any one of the swans would be great alone but 12 is fantastic.. is it 12 swans a swimming ~ or is that ladies dancing?? I don't feel Christmassy enough to go through the song!

The birthday things was a bonus, and I know so many BPers birthdays (22 and counting) and so many knew mine anyway, it didn't matter. btw you'll notice that as 5 of the swans are also mirror images that there are really only 8 swans here. It was easier to make them symetrical. (I have 375+ swan pictures, which I'm sure is only a fraction of what you have, eh…) Thanx again everyone - Allan
