Very nice image Jeff! You captured a portrait of a moose as well as any I have seen. Tell us a bit about the light that required the settings shown. Was it early morning or late evening and is this the fixed f2.8 Canon telephoto you used? I am so jealous as I really want that lens but cannot afford it.

This was taken last weekend in the Tetons. It at just before 7 pm, and the sun had already dropped well behind the Tetons, so the light was fading fast. The ISO performance of the 5D Mk III combined with the fixed 400mm f/2.8L IS II lens did an amazing job, allowing me to capture this shot in really tough conditions. Here's another shot of the same guy from about 2 pm, in the same area.
