Smokiam Days in Soap Lake 2013
On the first Saturday following the 4th of July, Soap Lake, Washington has what they call “Smokiam Days”. Where both the locals shoot off fireworks around the shore, which is what this photo is showing, and a barge of fireworks shoots off at dusk (i.e., 10:00 p.m.) out in the lake. Captured with a tripod holding the DSLR (digital single lens reflex) camera set at ISO 400 and f/22 using a wide-angle zoom lens (12 to 24). Entered into “Travel & Place” category.
