Horrendous devastation. We all pray for a speedy recovery and for those who lost loved ones or were injured.

Tammy,You need to enter this into the "Other" category so people at BP will see this..it doesn't go out to the BP community otherwise and it's a very emotive photo. You may have people inspired to help by entering it.

My prayers go out to all those affected either directly or indirectly by these horrible storms, few of us can imagine such devastation. We saw this flag being planted on the news. <><

Not only the USA is in mourning for you all there, but all of us up here in Canada feel your devastation, too. My American niece just graduated from Oklahoma State last week...So this has hit very close to home for us, as well.

What can we do to help? Can you direct us???

I play FARMVILLE on FACEBOOK and they are offering an avenue to donate without profit to themselves. I will likely go that route. What can others do that are in the USA?

My love and prayers to you all. I am so very sorry and this image really says it all. To see our flag waving there amidst the rubble is like seeing it in a battle field after the devastation of war. A very emotional image.

OH, THANK GOODNESS you are Okay, Tammy! I have been praying for you! I drove up on I35 on Saturday. I'm so glad we didn't wait another day (we thought about it seriously) or we would have been in the middle of this. Our Lord was looking out for us...for sure! We did have to stop at Grand Island, Ne rest stop. to wait out a hail/wind/downpour storm! Anyway I'm so happy you and your family are okay! :-) k

So scary! We were under a tornado watch for almost 3 days. 70 MPH winds came through here and took out a bunch of limbs from our trees. I was out on the beach shooting with the wind and lightning and went anyway. No beach left to walk on today. Now we are flooding, but it's a long way from the house yet.I hope all of you who were closer to the real devastation are ok and haven't lost too much.

We live about 4 to 5 miles from the path the tornado took. So we have sustained no damage. I just have a lot of friends who did. The day the tornado passed through I had gone to my mom's out in the country because they were talking of tornadoes and I thought they were going to be where we were and a little farther south. And Mom had just installed a cellar. My son was in Moore at work. As I watched the tornado unfold, all in the space of about 20 minutes, it took shape and headed straight for his place of work. He works right off of I-35 in the path. It took a hop over his work place, so he was okay. But I can tell you that watching it barreling towards him, texting and calling him and then waiting and seeing.....was the worst thing I have ever experienced. Because we knew it was bad and they wanted you below ground. And he wasn't. My outcome was good and it breaks my heart knowing the others that were going through the same anxiety and had quite different outcomes. So terrible. I would probably recommend giving to the Red Cross and designating it for the Oklahoma tornado relief. They have been ever present, and always are. My Church is actually a Red Cross Shelter and I have been donating items there, myself. I know the needs will go on for a long time. So many businesses, just like my sons, that haven't been able to open. Nobody has power. Not to mention that you can't get to them. So, there are a lot of people having their paychecks affected that you wouldn't even think of. Even though their homes weren't damaged. And my daughter that took that picture up there because she just found her way in and went to work.....the next morning 3 of 4 tires were completely flat and ruined. So, we had to buy all new tires for the Expedition. These are tiny things compared to the loss people here have experienced. I'm just saying......there are ripple effects. But, thousands of homes were lost, 24 lives, 300+ injured. It truly looks like a war zone. Anyway, know that everybody's love is reaching all the way here to Oklahoma. The outpour has been phenomenal. @Kitty....Glad ya'll passed on through Saturday! We spent Sunday evening climbing in and out of the cellar. And a small community east of here was heavily damaged from that one! This morning it just rained buckets and thundered and lightning and we may have more tonight. Mother Nature is having a hissy fit right over OK, and she needs to settle down! @Carolyn...we are due for some calmer weather. You know how it is here.....feast or famine. Glad ya'll were okay. You know, I think there's a good bit more rain in the forecast! I'm just sharing pics on here that I think people might be interested in seeing what it's like. Both were from my kids. Thanks for all the prayers and outpouring of concern for those affected.
