I still remember everything I learned about Stone Mountain when I was there in person in the late 80's. It is the largest piece of exposed granite in the world and only one third of it shows above ground. It is 5 miles around at the base. :D Also a BUS could fit atop of the fanny end of that horse! (I hope I got all of that right??!!)

We never stayed for the laser light show in the evening but I wish we had. Took the train and ferry and of course tram to the top! WOW! Oh what grand memories this cool DDR's image has brought back to me tonight!

Dear Photo Friend: I feel that something has changed at Better Photo but cannot tell you just what has happened. I have been here since 2003 and most every month I have written to all the winners telling them how their work touches me. I have witnessed photographs that bring tears to my eyes and colors that are unbelievable, now I am worried that like all good things that it will not be here the next time I look.
But the feeling of not being able to congratulate all the winners for the hard work, and sharing their talent with all of us makes me so sad.
However it turns out and even if this is the last time I have this privilege, to let you know how exceptional your work has been, please know that I will never forget.
