Congrats on your EP, Peter! I like how the bridge is hiding a little behind the grass. Very evocative

I like that about it also Peter. Did you use a filter on this? I notice a lot of residual yellow around the trees in the sky area behind the bridge.

Thanks my friends. This derelect bridge is just a couple of miles outside town on an abandoned road that many years ago was the road from Alton IL to my town, Edwardsville IL. It is now in the middle of farmland with just some short lengths of pavement remaining. No, Dale not filters just the RAW image with some 'recovery' and 'exposure adjustments', plus what from your comment was a not too successful attempt at brushing in the sky to bring up a little more detail! Heck, old codger; for a geezer that once asked me to use a larger type face in my email because you couldn't read it, you sure are spotting stuff that I miss. I might just try using a layer mask to more accurately select the bushes and avoid "a lot of residual yellow" but now that you have made the whole world, including the judges aware of my sloppy work I might instead just ignore everything and sulk.

Thanks Jeff. It is always fun dueling with the 'ancient one'. At our Thanks- giving dinner I gave thanks that no matter how many birthdays I have the old goat will still be older than I.

It wouldn't be "Phellos" without the the "mature" (????) guys sparring! It is a nice image, Peter. Love the golden tones. I didn't look close enough to see "Dale's residual yellow around the trees. But then he wears his glasses and I rarely wear mine.

Thank you friends. This was fun until I saw the scenes from Connecticut and the horrific scenes from the slaughter of so many elementary school children and staff etc. Now, nothing outside of this incident really matters, does it? Please pray for everyone involved.

Congratulations on your EP! You are so right Peter! That was beyond a tragedy. I hope also that everyone will pray for strength and healing for all those involved and related.
