Isn't he cute? We got him from the Inhumane Society.
I bet you don't have many unwanted visitors in your yard with a dog like this!!! Lucky for him you took him in & taught him all those special tricks, very caring of you=^..^=
I think I bit off more than I can chew rescuing old REX from the inhumane society a few days back.
He is eating me out of house and home. Oh wait. Right. He ate the house, too! But I do have a nice tent I live in now and REX hates the smell of mosquito repellent so I just keep spraying it all over the tent and my sleeping bag. (And me). SO FAR SO GOOD.
I'm sure things will calm down soon and all will be fine.
HEY! What was that blood curdling scream??? REX! NO! STOP! (That silly dog just loves chasing the postman. Glad it's a young fellow. Good runner that one!)
Now, to order more trees for the yard. Let me see.......
I'll definitely have second thoughts about petting Rex and I'd better find a bone for a treat, a really big bone! Awesome capture, love the way it towers in the sky. Excellent work Laura.
Pommy, you need to hire the Dog Whisperer to bring Rex's roar down to a manageable level. However, that won't keep the mailman, et. al., from screeching their lungs out as they set a new record for running a mile... I got a chuckle checking out Rex's "portrait" ~ lovely smile, great pov, and the blue sky looks SO good with his doggy color. I also enjoyed the Johnny Depp clip, because ~ well, it's Johnny Depp! HAH!! You must be feeling pretty perky these days. Your story-telling skills are as sharp as ever. Nice to see the "old" Pom again ~ not that 29 is old! Double HAH!! Maresie Doats :-D
Doozie Dotes here! Hi Gang. Gosh I slept like a log last night.
I don't mean that I slept well, I mean that I had to pretend I was a log so Rex wouldn't see me. He seems to be turning on me a tiny bit. Thank goodness for brown clothing and woodsy perfumes. (And that insect repellant!)
I am so happy for your notes of advice here and I am going to rent a 63 foot long flat bed truck today and this puppy is going to obedience school. No more of this bad attitude nonsense. Not with any dog of mine!!! No bones about it except that big bone Rey was talking about. We live in Alberta. An area with one of the largest dinosaur finds in the world and I had a few bones excavated yesterday.
Yippeeeeeeee! We are making headway.
Rex seems happy this morning. I cant even hear him.
Uh oh. Wait. He's gone. I better call the fire department again. Little Rex doesn't mean to but he takes down electrical wires when he leaves the yard and it gets tricky with the neighbors when the wires dangle in their yards.
I will keep the generator going so I can keep reading your handy notes.
Can we borrow him for the Rex Parade next Mardi Gras down in N'Awlins?? As you must realize, it is the most respected and prestigious parades in New Orleans society! Don't respect this Rex, and it's the LAST thing you do!
It's 7 AM, Doozie-Pom, so I won't be spilling any bons mots this morning...Just a reminder to wear rubber-soled boots when Rex is out amusing himself by trashing the electrical wires. Rain is NOT your friend at that time! I think Carol's suggestion re: Mardi Gras is a splendid one. Can you picture all the jaws dropping whenever Rex's float rounds a corner? Let the good times roll, but head for the hills!!
Oh, Sister. Giggle Giggle Laughing of loud!! You are so funny. And this is such an amazing image of your cute (little) pet. The colors and details are - no kidding - really fantastic. And your pov is too. You caught his eye in such a way that I feel he's watching me. Oh - wait - he is!!!!!! WUAHHHHHHHHHH!!
Now I'm looking into the future. Let me see... yes - I see GOLD!!!
Rex is missing. His tracks were easy to see until he left the grassy areas and hit the highway heading east towards The Drumheller Badlands.
I hired 200 people yesterday to look for him out there in the badlands. It's nothing like the Canadian Rockies that are plush and green. Why in the WORLD would REX want to go there???
Here is the footage. At the end of this tape that one of the 200 people took, to my shock, see something very very odd. Does REX know something we don't know???
Hey Emmy, I think Rex met up with my Big Red Dog Clifford!! I think the both of them are hanging out at the new dog park at the "Giants" stadium! Hee hee :) Hope the come back soon, Clifford has 60 lbs of kibble waiting!! And thats just a snack lol!
"The Dinosaur Capital of North America" ~ how cool is that?!?!(And not just because it's in a cave!) Looks like Rex got homesick and missed his mommy. Was that him we saw headed for the cave? He probably wanted to visit his toothy grandma inside. Maybe it's best he stays with his oversized relatives and friends. "Stick to your own kind", and all that. But whatever happens from here, we all know you can handle it, Pom!
o.k.....now that I spent the last umpteen minutes reading this blog and cracking up all the way......Laura you have to write a book......or do stand up comedy....or maybe you do already! Bring Rexie along when you find him....I'm sure he'll be a crowd pleaser....have a glorious day, Canada Kin.....Hugs
I know. It's just not natural. I am glad he found his Mama. I didn't want to tell you but I did have to buy a whole bunch more trees. It was not a pretty picture after REX living here for only a week.
Love your puppy, Laura! What a great protector...I am still slacking here...unable to do much so as not to aggravate any galls! :) See surgeon tomorrow....need to get back to bp!
Lydia! So good to see you. I saw the surgeon YESTERDAY! What a group hey??? Lol...I had oral surgery and am sitting here with Gauze in my mouth. Sure glad REX has found his REAL home now...The smell of human blood seemed to spark his interest a bit! HAHAHAHAHAHA!
I have thought of you so many times. Please do exactly as your "Gall" Darned Dr's say! Ha! :))) Promise me? Or Santa's Elves will be taking notes. Just ask Wm! :)))
Oh, Oh...ok, You are quick on the draw, Laura! I have to be good, so as not to move anything around....yikes...darn! Enough of this dr. stuff for 2012! Spy Elf Wm....Who's watching you?
Yes Lydia...Spy Elfes Everywhere Their On All The Street Corners In Town and UpTown and Even Downtown I Don't Know, But I Have It On Authority Each Person Has At Leased 12 Spy Elfes Person Per Shift (3 Shifts in 24 Hours) Saw The Last Shift In The Bakery Night Eating Christmas Cookies and Drinking HC While Filling In Reports The Bakery Has Wi Fi They Seem To Like Red Cars :)
Hi Everyone! This adventure was so fun and I am grateful I didn't have to go through it ALONE with my dog REX. he was a handful!

Jill be sure your hubby see's this one. (But be sure he doesn't head to the pet store afterwards....as there was only ONE T-Rex dog. I suspect the T-stood for thunder. Read this thread for the rest of the story! Lol!)
