Thank you so much Bobby...this really is this plant's color.....blooms in my yard in Sun City West about late March through April....It is I believe a hybrid Lobivia....don't know that much about cacti...all I know is I just love their flowers...Have a wonderful day and thanks for commenting!

Honestly and truly, no one capture cacti flowers as well as you do, Patricia - beautiful details, absolutely wonderful light (gorgeous, in fact) and spectacular color. I remember seeing your series last year and they knocked my socks off with not only the intrinsic beauty of these magnificent blooms but your technical expertise at capturing that beauty so perfectly. No exception here - Lovely!

Hi Val.....Thank you so very, very much for your beautifully kind words....I've loved flower photography for years. I had no idea about the beauty of cactus blooms until we moved to Arizona late in 1998. Come March & April of 1999 I was treated to the most wonderful array of flowers I have ever seen! Oh this photo was taken at 6:00 a.m. in my yard this past March....by 11:00 a.m. these beauties start to seriously wilt and die off......Thanks again, Val....and have a glorious afternoon!

Thank you again, Dee.....I love my early morning conversations with the cactus flowers in March & April.....I'm still doing the Rain Dance for some here in AZ for a bit of spring wildflowers....we've been pretty darn dry....hopefully some rain will come soon
