I'll say they're beauties! Gosh, Thomas, I've waited my whole life to see ONE elk (I know I will someday) and here you go and find and photograph (quite nicely, I may add) a whole crowd of them!! What a wonderful image (and sight!) - beautifully captured!!

Thanks for all of your kind words, Anthony, Yulianto, Tammy, Colette, Michelle, Val, John, and Marijana! I greatly appreciate each of your visits! Val: I will say, and Tammy for sure knows, as I've seen some images of elk from her, they are mystical creatures (not mythical, lol, for they do exist, of that I'm sure). I have seen elk at a great distance, nearly a mile away on the flats, and I knew they knew that I was watching them and how quickly they vanished from sight, probably into a ravine or creek bed. In places, and at times, they act almost tame, but the majority of them are so keen and elusive. That is what makes seeing them so special and this was a herd of about a hundred. They tolerated me for a brief time and then slowly meandered away. in Estes Park, CO, I hear they are like pets! LOL!
