Thank you so much Tammy, Terry, Neal & Nadia....it was so amazing that the pilots of the balloons allowed everyone to meander around while they were inflating and launching....they are a very congenial bunch of people who love their "aircraft" and flight!

Wow! This is fabulous Patricia! Love the bold color and great lines. I'm amazed that you were able to get such terrific access. I once attended a balloon festival in NJ (no where near as big as Albuquerque) and the balloons were fenced off from the spectators.

That's the amazing thing about Albuquerque.....everyone is walking everywhere....The pilots & crews are wonderful and many times people on the field get to go on a "free" balloon ride if they help out with the lines & gondola during set up...depends on the size of the gondola....

I thought your was pretty funny! When I saw this fellow on his side had to get a shot....the pilots are all so gracious allowing you to walk about while inflating the balloons...
