It was Bobby! Our first day (Oct 11th) at the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta....there is a weather situation called "The Box" and it was working that day. The balloons take off in one direction, go to a certain altitude then are pushed back to the field by the upper winds...It was really neat to see. They run a marksmanship contest when "The Box" is working. I think they also call it the "Gully Winds"....fun stuff for sure!
Thank you Jill...it really helps to have tripod...but with the crowds handholding was the way I went with these shots. I may look at a monopod for the next adventure where there are crowds. Have a glorious day!
Indeed I did. I had tickets for three mornings and three evenings. Some of the events never took place due to weather....so I'm glad I planned the three days.
