There are many of these old abandoned beach homes, in Crystal Cove. The community was placed on the National Register of Historic Places for its unique vernacular architecture in 1979, the same year the Irvine Company sold this land to the State of California.

Sad that the tenants had to leave. A wonderful theme entry though, intersting shingles on the house! HTD!

Terrific! Evidently people built on the land but never owned it and the state gave the land to the state parks system after people were told to leave. Regardless..great capture Donna!
