I visited my Mom over the 2007 Mother's Day weekend, as she'd been in a nursing home after a bout with cancer and several brain surgeries. On the night before Mother's Day my stepdad got a call from the home that Mom had fallen out of bed, so he rushed there in the wee hours. When I arrived at the home the next morning, this is what I found and captured. They are both asleep and appear to be holding hands in prayer. She died February 24th the following year and my stepdad joined her in eternal peace December 2011. Just like in the movie "Grease" - he was "hopelessly devoted" to her.
Photo taken May 2007 and first entered into the BP Contest on October 8, 2012 on what would have been Mom's 80th birthday. RIP, Mom.
