At 244 feet, the Hallgrímskirkja church tower dominates the Reykjavik skyline. The 3 openings near the top provide a fantastic observation deck;
a set of bells is also housed there. The architect's inspiration was the hexagonal basalt columns that thrust upward from the ground all around Iceland.
