Yes- my brother had a house facing the water at Bay St Louis that was swept away. I visited their rebuilt hour last year- less than 25% rebuilt in the area. But there was no debris to clean up as the storm surge swept it far inland.

Frank, I love the varying colors of the ocean as it goes from shallow to deep water, and the ripples make for exquisite patterns. A simple scene but so artistically captured...I love it!

It's hard to imagine that this calm and peaceful shore was once ravaged by one of the worst Hurricanes ever! It's a shame that the piers were washed away ... but the posts that remained standing provided you with an interesting shot! ... more so than if you just took a picture of the water!
