Yes- my brother had a house facing the water at Bay St Louis that was swept away. I visited their rebuilt hour last year- less than 25% rebuilt in the area. But there was no debris to clean up as the storm surge swept it far inland.

Great capture of what remained after Katrina, a stark reminder of the power of nature, so vividly portrayed here Frank.

I love the colors and texture, Frank. It's hard to imagine the violence that took the pier in this welcoming view.

Frank, I love the varying colors of the ocean as it goes from shallow to deep water, and the ripples make for exquisite patterns. A simple scene but so artistically captured...I love it!

Such a placid-looking scene now, Frank...but what's left of the pier is a stark reminder of how violent Mother nature can be at her worst... Superb capture in every way, my friend!! :-)

It's hard to imagine that this calm and peaceful shore was once ravaged by one of the worst Hurricanes ever! It's a shame that the piers were washed away ... but the posts that remained standing provided you with an interesting shot! ... more so than if you just took a picture of the water! Gorgeous colour, lighting and capture, Frank! Excellent work! :)

Ironic timing to discover this beautiful capture tonight, Frank. The water looks so clear ~ who would've expected a 7th-anniversary date to be about Katrina again? All we can do now is pray.
Take care, and have a peaceful day, my friend.
